Waste Segregation Management System
Overview
Waste management is the process of treating solid wastes and offers variety of solutions for recycling items that don’t belong to trash. It is about how garbage can be used as a valuable resource. Waste management is something that each and every household and business owner in the world needs. Waste management disposes of the products and substances that you have use in a safe and efficient manner.
Waste segregation on the other hand is the separating and sorting of waste to facilitate recycling. ... For example, a company who sorts its cardboard packaging, glass containers, metal waste and wood waste will save a considerable amount of waste then sending a mixed material skip for recycling.
Our Project Seeks to Educate Individual on how to segregate waste into labeled biodegradable rubbers that can decompose at most 12 months, so that there wont be any need of landfills. The segregated waste would go straight directly into recycling into compost, rubber pellet, oil for diseal, cans into aluminium sheet.
We are working together with individual companies who already collect waste, and drivers who pick up waste from their community already. This system is backed by a Mobile application that regulates consumers to request pickups and drivers to locate houses to pick up waste.
We are also working closely with the Ministry of Health and Sanitation of Ghana to create value from waste recycling, reduce amount of waste in our homes and cities in accordance with the waste management policy, Also create value from recycled waste and create manufacturing industries in Ghana that can use the recycled materials to make new materials in the country and export others.
